National Dance Week will be celebrated around the U.S. April 22-30, 2006. A variety of activities will be held locally. "We're expecting to bring some 600 kids in for a day of exposure to virtually all forms of dance," said Gwen Bowen, National Dance Week Representative. "It meets with our goal of making dance accessible where it might not have been in the past." she continued. The Denver Public Schools "National Dance Week" for elementary students will be Tuesday, April 26, 9:45 am to 1:30 pm; April 27, 9:45 am to 1:30 pm for middle school students; and April 28, 9:45 am to 1:30 pm for high school students. All event locations are to be anounced. Expected participation in this city-wide event is much larger than 2005 for students from the Denver public school system.

The NATIONAL DANCE WEEK Denver area performance will be Friday, April 29, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., at South High School. For ticket information call 303-722-1206.
